Dolly Parton rose from poverty to stardom. She gave $500 to every student in her hometown who finished high school; she built hospitals & bald eagle preserves; her Imagination Library has gifted 300 million books to children. Roger Ebert met her and came away thinking she was a literal angel. RIP.

It means nothing and yet it means everything how little magical gender transformation matters in gender transformation manga it seems. Maybe some days, you just turn into a girl and it's weird for a bit but everyone just gets over it cause a manga can't live on being weird you're a girl now alone.

I looked up while sitting on the subway, and there was a guy who had a full sleeve of ONLY Simpsons tattoos. Looked up a bit more - Simpsons shirt. "Woah, this is quite a guy, I gotta get a good look at who this Simpsons Superfan could be," I thought - naturally. He was like. A mega hunk.

this bit from the latest deltarune newsletter honestly does a stunningly good job of explaining why I felt like experiencing Homestuck as it came out was the ideal way to do so and why it will never be the same again

The speculative art, stories, and theories that you come up with while the game is still ongoing will forever be special, because this is the only time such things can EVER be created. All of you are creating a time capsule unique to this single fleeting moment in time, and I think that’s something to be incredibly proud of. Isn’t it great that you’re here right now, playing this thing as it comes out?

Because most people I know online don't work corporate jobs, I don't see a lot of people complaining about this one other specific thing AI has done to make MY life worse - which is that my juniors will just take my instructions and put them into AI and send that back to me without reviewing.
