After talking to a young writer last night, I want to remind you all that it's okay to write without an assignment or goal. Write to explore a new technique, get an idea out of your head, or as emotional exhalation. Write for the raw joy of it. For you alone. It doesn't need to go into a portfolio

“It’s unprofessional for an artist to post personal art while doing commissions” Sometimes we need a break in between commissions by drawing stuff for ourselves so we don’t lose momentum. It might take a while to. It not unprofessional it just warm ups to keep from having art block.

like I think it's my biggest struggle with job hunting is that 80% of jobs sound like they are selling air. literally nothing. I want to make something meaningful, tangible. but it pays about 30% of the grift price, and I do like to eat. I'm sure a nice job is in my future though. it's gotta be.
