30+, autistic, I like TTRPGs and the Hellaverse

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottomA nearly identical mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It shows a search for the same Amnesty International UK resources URL, resulting in the same message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."A mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. In my lived experience, mutagenic virus tech is extremely useful and has many interesting applications, but every time I try to talk about it, people on bluesky just start yelling at me about t-Virus and Raccoon City. Many mutagenic virus engineers prefer to stay on X for this reason.

Many professional-managerial types have been steeped in a culture of huffing each other's farts for so long they've lost touch w/ life outside of it and so they're genuinely shocked and surprised when people point out the obvious flaws in their terrible ideas. Hence the "spreadsheet people" freakout

You have to love the Quakers; they’ve stood by the trans community for many years. Their main spaces are inclusive, with some minimal, legally compliant, outlying provision for bigots somewhere else. And you’re going to see this more and more from SPs. Hey, GCs, you got exactly what you asked for.

These include respecting the dignity and lived experience of every person, ensuring compliance with the Equality Act, protecting disabled people's access to accessible facilities, and maintaining robust approaches to tackling harassment or discrimination.
The policy also states that Quakers will not require trans, non-binary or intersex people to disclose or prove their status in circumstances where such evidence is not demanded of others.
Under the arrangements confirmed by trustees, toilet facilities labelled with a 'female' sign remain available to cisgender women, trans women, and others for whom those facilities best align with their lived experience.
Similarly, facilities labelled with a 'male' sign remain available to cisgender men, trans men, and others for whom those facilities best align with

Self-contained single sex facilities, available to all users, are also available across the estate for anyone who is not comfortable in a trans-inclusive segregated space.

All students deserve safe schools where they can thrive — and transgender youth are no exception.

This shit is why you can't separate continuing to financially support the Harry Potter IP (whether by buying the games, merch, watching the new TV show when its out) from the consequences of what JK Rowling does with that money She's become so stiflingly powerful that even private docs arent safe

Yup. I know bullies online who are perfectly pleasant offline, and what I take from that is "Oh, so you know how to behave when you might get punched." And to tell on myself, this is one reason I'm a nicer person online now than I was a decade+ ago. I stopped liking that version of me, a lot.

One of the things us an industry need to stop doing is perpetuating the 'they say this on social media, but they're a sweetheart in real life' about awful people I've had other journos say this to me about some of the most pernicious grifters over the years, some of who crossed many lines this week

Authors should not have to be on trial for or disclose whether they have survived sexual abuse themselves in order to write a character who's survived it, and the demand for that disclosure is heavily predatory and abusive.
