It's quite incredible how enormously lucky the US administration has been in terms of its economic inheritance - this is the kind of capex boom econ nerds have been yelling for since the GFC - and how determined they seem to be to squander it.

They are woefully inadequate for measuring anything about an individual. They’re fine, mostly, when they serve as a single data point, but I think focusing on them would be a problem.
I know we're all supposed to be herding onto the anti-data center bandwagon, but man, I worry a *lot* that it's going to overspill its borders & become a more generalized anti-wind & solar, anti-battery, anti-grid-infrastructure, anti-transmission, anti-anything mega-glonzo that leaves us worse off.
The number of ungrateful dickheads in the replies here is really something to see. Paint.NET is great and I've been using it for years. If AI coding makes it easier to maintain or add features, awesome.

NYT wanted to write a story about "moderate Dems go to war with DSA," looked around, and the best they could find was a *proposal* by Third Way to spend $15M against left candidates. The story is not evidence that *Democrats* and the left hate each other... it's evidence that the NYT hates both.
Honestly, filtering for, "the Nazis were bad, Stalin was bad, the correct side won WWII" is the easiest way to filter out 90+% of bad faith interlocutors if only everyone was honest about their views but the fascists and tankies know this and so sometimes falsify their opinions strategically.

I would honestly make a case for a gaokao system in the United States at this point. Straightforward single-exam entry is problematic for any number of reasons, but superior to the current U.S. system in both fairness and social impact.

The Constitutional Crisis started in 2000. You've been living through it your entire adult life. The reason politics feels hopeless is by design — conservatives broke our democratic form of government to guarantee that the people cannot act against them and are continuing to break it.
The pool and the county fair or whatever are a reminder that the real power and competence in the conservative movement are the media and the supreme court who usually are able to cover us for Trump's fuckups but sometimes can't when physical reality intrudes.
So you have SK Hynix, which wants a US listing but doesn't particularly need the money, and SK Square, which owns over $100 billion of Hynix, trades at a massive discount to NAV, and (at least in theory) wants to close that gap. 1/2
