i'm sorry, the admin was so desperate to get rid of the algae they had a bunch of guys pouring 12% hydrogen peroxide in by hand at 6am?
"Give us Greenland or we will increase taxes on American citizens for things that they buy" is such a masterpiece of foreign policy
pour one out for the "the market doesn't value growth properly" bois
One has to admit that whatever is going on here, there is something truly astonishing about it
99% of people with fire insurance never have their house burn down. Talk about a scam!
I've bored on before about my view that the hidden assumption of the Left is that economics is bad and nasty, therefore the worse and nastier you're being, the better economics you're doing. The worst boss is always a squishy liberal acting how she thinks a hard nosed capitalist would.
Under-discussed (is that even possible on here?) is that Andreessen, Thiel, et al really REALLY want to be seen as grandiose “builders” in the real world and the total building they have done amounts to funding a bunch of scam SMR startups and failing to manage a mixed use real estate development.
There is a lot to hate about the politics of the silicon valley right, but they do actually want to build stuff, and I would prefer if the left didn't cede "we should be able to build stuff" to the right.
Excuuuuse me but how much does this plane advance sora short form video brainrot data center buildout ? Or masayoshichain stablecoin strategic reserve companies for the global overbanked ($12T TAM)? #ambition

This story is a few months old but I just saw it. It's the far right account Jenrick was DM'ing. A spectacular if depressing irony...
We have media systems that aim to provoke 'engagement' while people are primarily doing something else altogether, and provoke/reward feedback and communication over attention. Feel like 'attention' is like 'commodity', a fetish that needs treating with a little more suspicion
