Long time pensions professional. Trying to make them better; usually failing. This time it’s different

5. Introduce your Underpants Gnomes answer, that works like a perfect syllogism. The answer to growth is Beefing Up the Growth parts of government, giving a Growth Duty to regulators, or measuring all the regulations and taking out only the bad ones.

My workplace is Microsoft first which in reality is Microsoft only. We have a m365 licence at home so can use their apps but striking how seldom I do when I have a choice. Just particularly grumpy as forced to use sub standard software at work when better free/cheap alternatives available.

Not done one of those "fly into a panic because number go down" special offers in a while, so: Father's Day's coming. 10% off annual subs AND I'll throw in a three book for any dads (or, frankly, anyone else) who might like it. Come on Rodney, you know it makes sense.

I'm doing a story on cuts to the Universal Credit disability payments - I'm looking to speak to anyone who started claiming means-tested disability benefit (LCWRA, either in ESA or Universal Credit) for the first time when they were in their 50s or 60s My DMs are open, grateful for any reposts

Sheesh. Just discovered our gps online booking form is only available during core hours. Just why? When been up all night with sick child and 111 says probably fine but get go to check in the morning, why not let me submit it now instead of set alarm to join the morning melee.

Oh ffs, the defining questions will be whether you’ve kept inflation under control, improved earnings, decreased waiting lists etc. a government trying to be more British than opponents has already lost; the only question is to whom.

🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer says he can win the next general election for Labour "I think we can... it’s likely to be Labour versus Reform. An election where the defining question is, what is it to be British?"
