Sleeping on the strange pillows of my wanderlust...trying to discern small from far away. Here for fun, curiosity, education and escape while doing my best to be nice.
Humanists UK mourns Dame Esther Rantzen (1940–2026) Esther was a great champion of human dignity. She approached her final years with the same fearless determination that defined her career of advocacy, using her own experience to shine a light on the suffering caused by our outdated laws.
#totp Moloko... classsss! Proper frontman... but done better by a woman.
Almost never feel sad about celebrity deaths- but felt so moved all day today about Dolly Parton. What a woman. The story of America. We’ve recorded a special ep of News Agents about her politics and why she- uniquely- transcended even the bitterest partisan divides. In your feeds at 5pm.
"Breaking News, Clacton overwhelming votes for parliament to conclude it's investigation into Nigel Farage's corruption and finances and 5 million quid bribe." via We Demand UK meme via Truth Against Hate
There now follows a party election broadcast by the Count Binface Party, And if I do say so myself, it's a banger. #VoteBinface #Clacton
#worldcupfinal All the talent on the pitch and this is the FIFA showpiece highlight. It's disappointing. Oh, and it's boring.
Albondigas washed down with Sangria from a Cruzcampo glass may give my allegiance away this evening. #espvbel
Cabo Verde! Cracking game. I should be in bed and planned to watch 15 minutes... stayed to the end. Unlucky not to win. Bad luck to Uraguay.

@parodypm.bsky.social Gutted to see your crypto investment flopping so dramatically this morning. Looking forward to you conspiracy theories and whining! ;-)
Elon Musk is the archetypal embodiment of opportunity cost: instead of spending his trillion on living a good life & improving the lot of his fellow inhabitants of Planet Earth, he squanders his putrid existence dreaming of Planet Mars & doom-tweeting racist hatred. What a pathetic waste of a life.
Yea. We’re watching. They’re counting Every single Legal Vote. That’s why it takes so long you moron. The votes are cut off at the end of the Election Day. Then they count. They count them all. And they count till they’re done you simple minded ape. Just go away.
#eurovision Watching as a substitute for no Glasto this year. So far it looks like quite a sensory challenge. Bailey's handy.
#ted Adios amigo and good luck with the brief case hunt in the sky. Saw the news first on the free speech site and paid tribute there. Wrong in done good. Love to those who miss him.
On Sunday, we remembered the 252,499 UK covid dead with a Walk of Memories, with volunteers stopping at each panel to do a reading and observe a minute’s silence. We will never forget them. ❤️
These two women are suing Andrew Tate, alleging he raped them. Here they visit the social media companies that created Tate. Please share. *one voice altered to disguise identity
@nigella.bsky.social Congratulations on the new gig! You don't need people like me to say it but, you will be a fab addition to the show.
Semi Circle Song hits 'the chain'. Yay. A good Saturday made better. #thego!team #6music
I’ll have a shower, then phone my brother up… Day five of superb Scottish records, remembering beautiful Billy on a sad anniversary 🖤 #burnscountdown #billymackenzie @scotspostpunk.bsky.social
#billymckenzie I saw somewhere that Billy left us today a few years ago. Here is my little remembrance of a stunning talent and beautiful man. This is deliberately the instrumental. I listen to it and hear Billy as I do. Give it a go and you will too. Cheers. m.youtube.com/watch?v=9CH-...

A timely reflection, perhaps even a New Year's resolution, by psychologist, educationist, and humanist James Hemming, as featured in The Little Book of Humanism.
#goodgrief A new year and this is where we are. So little to look forward to thanks to the mango manbaby.
@covidmemorialwall.bsky.social Thinking of you all and those lost as the news tells us what was blatantly obvious at the time. Narcissistic, arrogant idiots in charge who were slow to react except when it came to opportunities to enrich themselves or when secret messages needed losing. Vile people
Farewell Quentin. You were a top bloke and your advice served me well. Thanks. #quentinwillson
#clouds @cloudappsoc.bsky.social Spotted this combo on the South Coast. Take a moment to see... Galadriel and naughty Sauron or an Angel and Satan depending on your world view. That or a Klingon Battlecruiser! ;-) Got a wider angle if anyone is interested. TTFN.
I don't usually post music and rely on others for interest, but we're past the equinoxe and this beautiful #Godley&Creme tune came to mind with the season. #Consequences was a mixed bag and I was always sad this tune was overlooked. #SarahVaughan m.youtube.com/watch?v=DKog...
