The US just put tariffs on most of the other countries in the world, the legal justification being a law permitting tariffs on countries insufficiently policing the use of slave labor.
The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚🚨 Prisciliano Trejo, aged 29 becomes the 50th person to die in #ICE custody. He was denied medical care until it was too late. His family was denied the ability to see him when he was finally sent to the hospital. This thread is one you must spend time on. We cannot ignore the atrocities!
Chicago teen shares his experience in ICE detention centers: I am 18 years old and I just graduated from high school in Chicago. I was in ICE detention for 2 months and 10 days. They kept me in solitary for 2 days for no reason, alone in a room with just a toilet. They never let us go outside.
This is a good reminder that some "voluntary" departures people sign while detained by ICE are the product of coercion. The worst incidents I've heard of over the years involve agents grabbing a person's hands and forcing them to sign a piece of paper they can't read; it's a "voluntary" removal.
ICE agents threatened to beat up a Seattle small business owner, married to a citizen, with NO criminal record unless he signed a "voluntary" departure. I'm told there were cameras in the room. I'm demanding any video and that Eduardo be brought home immediately.

Illinois woman with green card has been detained by ICE for 12 months. Her daughters plead for her release.
ICE arrested Beata Siemionkowicz, a Poland native and green card holder of more than two decades, last year while she was gardening in her daughter’s backyard in Des Plaines.

F*CK ICE. Who believes this tired shite? According to ICE, Salgado Araujo “weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer”. The confrontation resulted in “our officer firing his weapon in self-defense”. Son said he was out, looking for workers. 🧾 t2m.co/Mxz0wP17

ICE fatally shot Lorenzo Salgado Araujo during a Houston enforcement operation. His family says he was a hardworking father on his way to work. This is a deadly pattern at DHS: no transparency, no oversight, no accountability. We demand an independent investigation.

"At no point in either video is Hurtado-Cariaco seen choking the female agent. Instead, the videos show agents placing Hurtado-Cariaco into a chokehold on two separate occasions as he attempts to break free." By recording ICE, neighbors helped this man avoid a bogus attempted murder charge.
Last year ICE said a man tried to murder a female ICE officer while she was trying to arrest him. They swore under oath he grabbed her by the neck and tried to choke her to death. He was even indicted for attempted murder. Problem is, it never happened! Bystander video unraveled the lie.
Since Trump won a second term, his two eldest sons have become linked to investments in at least 10 defense firms. Those firms have collectively received about $3.7 billion in federal funds since the start of the second Trump administration. Read more from Akayla Gardner:

The president’s two eldest sons are linked to investments in at least 10 defense firms that have drawn some $3.7 billion in federal funds since he took office — and no law requires them to step back.
