They created vile 'app' where they put Muslim women up "for sale" to humiliate them. They've called minorities every name they could think of and made up some more. Their IT cell has popularised these slurs. Rich of them to now start talking about restraint and polite behaviour in public discourse.

Hilarious that the Hindu right in India is trying to make an issue of protesters using foul language after spending 12+ years calling every Indian woman on social media every variation of 'bitch' 'slut' etc and making receiving rape & death threats a regular-ass part of online life in India.

I happened to walk past the office of a matrimonial/ matchmaking bureau today. The sign outside read that they are specialists in "divorce and delayed marriage." I know what that actually means but it's still hilarious.

See the alternating warm and cold patches in the Northern mid-latitudes? That's the imprint of a quasi-stationary Rossby wave (i.e. oscillations in the jet stream). It's rare to see it so clearly in a monthly-average temperature map.

“Twelve years ago, Modi rode to power and pioneered in many ways, leveraging social media platforms to reach the masses. Today, Gen Z is flipping his Hindu majoritarian party’s dominance on social platforms, weaponising against it the very tools the Bharatiya Janata Party has long relied on.”

‘Televising our revolution’: India’s Gen Z flips Modi’s social media game

For 12 years, Modi and his party have dominated Indian social media. Now, youth use the same platforms against him.

A few years ago, I was a part of a DEI project. DEI haters viciously attacked the grant proposal & my personal talk pages. I used to get dozens of password-reset emails every week for almost a year from unknown people trying to break into my account. Good to see this feature introduced in Wikipedia.

A screenshot of an email notification regarding a password reset request for a Wikipedia account. The text states, "Someone (probably you, from IP address [redacted]) requested a reset of your password for ವಿಜಯದ (). The following user account is associated with this email address:". Below this, the "Username:" and "Temporary password:" fields are redacted. The message continues, "This temporary password will expire in 7 days. You should log in and choose a new password now. If someone else made this request, or if you have remembered your original password, and you no longer wish to change it, you may ignore this message and continue using your old password." It concludes with instructions on updating email options at "" to "reduce the number of such incidents."
