Mysterious non-bio masking tedious backstory and mundane existence.

Sorry, but I think you have an insanely patronising view of the general public. People notice service charges. It’s a daily charge. People notice the daily charge.

Bizarre things that happened in your assembly: Last day of school. The school stands. The head of music pauses briefly before playing the first chords of the hymn. Ping pong balls fly out of the organ tubes and teachers run around trying to catch them as they bounce. Turns out the Head Boy did it.

Bizarre things that happened in your assembly: A neighbour of one of the teachers gave us a five-minute lecture about kwashiorkor which involved him reciting a list of his favourite words (yes, ‘kwashiorkor’ was one of them). Included the unforgettable phrase, “Diarrhoea, another beautiful word.”

Forgetting not to swallow chewing gum (only after doing it and my mum explaining why it was a bad idea).

Hmmm. There is a distinct whiff of impending doom for America in the air with these US mid-terms approaching. It’s like when a toddler misses their nap and you just know they’re going to have a tantrum at dinner and then won’t go to bed.

There is a romance novel coming out called See You Next Tuesday. That...does mean in the US what it means in the UK, right?? I mean, that's the title on purpose?

On the BBC Radio 4 flagship comedy I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, broadcast Sunday lunchtime, national treasure Stephen Fry defined "countryside" as the murder of Piers Morgan, to howls of appreciative laughter...
