This is utterly appalling AND....there's a reason they want to keep this stuff hidden, and it's not (just) competition. They want to keep it from you and me, because we'll question whether it's worth it, and the answer isn't one that will improve their stock prices.

Every sensible government will spend the coming months accelerating the deployment of solar, batteries, heat pumps, and EVs, especially for lower income households. It’ll be a hell of a lot cheaper in the long run than subsidising fossil fuels the next time prices spike, which they will.

The best thing EU governments can do is invest as much as possible in clean energy, and bite the bullet on high upfront costs despite debt burdens. But EU fiscal models used to map out nat spending plans ignores the effects of climate change and crises and degrades the strong case for clean energy.
