John Wiswell@wiswell.bsky.social · 3w agoPeople really do not appreciate the importance of the "do nothing" phase in the creative process. We are all about the kinetic energy, and forget its duality with potential energy.
My incredibly lukewarm take is that paying taxes isn’t an inherently bad thing (in fact, it can actually be a good thing); people just need to be able have a say in what their taxes are paying for, and government should be obligated by law to spend taxpayer dollars accordingly

one thing I miss from the pre-genAI days is that there was no questioning that human nonsense was simply human nonsense. a dog piloting a plane? some silly human toiled over that in photoshop. now, when something is nonsensical, we question if it’s ai and don’t get to enjoy it the same way.
Ended up doing 15, which is one more than last year! For a minute there I had a better ratio too but people have just been too generous and it didn't last Thanks for all the lovely art, I wish there was a bit of extra time for revenges 😭
