There is no greater driver of economic growth than good public transport links. Look at the boom of the Elizabeth Line. People who whinge about the costs of it are just short-sighted morons. Ignore them and build everything. HS2. HS3. Crossrail 2. Trams in every city. Just do it.
Oops forgot to post this weeks track. Week 33: The Moon, Burned Out alonemusic.bandcamp.com/track/the-mo... Genuinely, probably the prettiest thing I've written.

Do the good thing, buy a T-shirt and support workers seeking justice in the face of union busting jerks.
Don’t boycott GTA VI. Fight for justice for the people who made it: youtube.com/shorts/hhIES... T-shirt preorders open now! All proceeds from the t-shirts, which are ethically made and designed by us, will go towards the fired Rockstar workers’ legal funds. bit.ly/4xLc4IP
If you don't know the story about how this masterpiece of design came to ship as an official Windows theme:
Windows 3.1 included a red and yellow 'Hot Dog Stand' color scheme so garish it was long assumed to be a joke, so I tracked down Microsoft's original UI designer to get the true story
Setting the record straight, 33 years later.

We need to go back to Hotdog stand.
You could tell me that people in Bristol were protesting how fascist the sun is and I'd believe you.

I do love that No Man's Sky is one of the few games you can do an A/B of day one, and today. Popped the PS4 disc in and stopped the auto update and there is the very odd pre-a million patches version of the game. Then you can start the PS5 version...
Oh man, 10 years of No Man's Sky. What a game. I don't really get a chance to play for long periods, but its so much fun to just jump into and see whats changed. The ARG around the early updates was great too. Good ol' Citizen Scientists.

I still adore sim tower. Nothing quite hits the same.
SimTower (1994). One of my favorite sim games as a kid.

In October last year I was fired by Rockstar Games in what we believe was a union busting move. We lost our home. We lost 2 jobs with my partner being forced to resign. We lost a community. Most importantly however we had to leave our two dogs behind, one of which will never return.
Back in October, Rockstar Games fired 34 employees for alleged gross misconduct. The severity of these firings could have spelled the end for a burgeoning union effort that was underway, but it didn't. In fact, the union is now *bigger* than it's ever been before. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym4z...
I'd just like to point out that the only two countries in Europe that still persist with the ludicrous, two-party fix-up cartel of First Past the Post are the Putin proxy Belarus, and the sewage-drenched UK.
Still a classic. The colour choices, the sparse environments, the sterility of capital. So good. Even the sequel is pretty good!
Mirror's Edge turns 18 soon and proves that art direction is everything
The Luddites loved technology. They owned looms at home and would ‘mod’ them to count threads. Their battle was against worker exploitation. The degradation of their rights, safety and wages. They were against a handful of rich businessmen owning the means of production. Sound familiar?

it's funny how for decades the RIAA would carbomb teenagers for downloading one (1) song yet now these dudes are just allowed to do this shit like it's nothing
