The fascist’s imperative is the aestheticization of politics but that doesn’t give the left the excuse to abnegate the aesthetic question altogether. Aesthetics is politics made tactile. There is no leftist project from Lenin to FDR without a vision of the world they wanted to build.

It does matter! You need to build a world before you can advocate for it! You have to ask what that world would look like and sometimes that means literally. What is your answer to nostalgia bait and slop? Why is only one side allowed to make images?
