I never would have predicted that cutting 20% of the staff at the federal agency that makes sure our food is safe would result in a bunch of our food being declared unsafe.
The outlook is bleak. Even with an incredibly unpopular and terrible president who has done nothing good for the average citizen, I can't trust the Democrats. They'd gladly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
I couldn't have put it better myself.
They don't fucking care about helping us. Most of the primaries are over, the time has come to lock in against the GOP, and their primary goal is to pander to their reactionary donors. They'd live under the Republican boot forever just as long as they get their cut.
These tariffs are nothing more than tantrums from the orange menace and a smokescreen. Whenever things aren't going his way, he has to find something else to shift the focus so that people and the media talk about something else.
US tariffs do NOT include oil or gas, implying that even in escalating trade wars there's desire to keep the fossil fuels flowing. Meanwhile a record-breaking heat dome envelopes the lower 48 states and massive wildfires burn in TX, all exacerbated by a changing climate due to burning fossil fuels.
Besides, they’re playing right into the Republicans’ hands. Well, many liberals would gladly accept being governed by fascism and corporate influence rather than give the left more power within their own party.
I'm not particularly a fan of streamers and podcasters to the point of defending them to the death, but I find it suspicious, and I certainly distrust the Democratic establishment and liberals attacking Hasan Piker more.

Hey Marco Rubio: Stop spreading propaganda. Cuba is NOT a national security threat to the United States. You have no business being Secretary of State or holding any elected or appointed office.
There's a lot to be said about the mentality, the desire to win, and that poor decision to sit back in the second half. They could have handled things much better.
The annoying thing for England is that it feels like they lost it rather than Argentina being good to win it. Obvious changes were like-for-like for fresh legs, rather than keeping on tired attackers and dropping deep into a back five. The changes were almost as if they'd had a man sent off again.
I do kind of feel sorry for Bellingham. He did play an incredible tournament.
I’ve thought about that too; they want that France vs. Argentina rematch, which would generate a lot of money.
Let's be honest - the biggest money spinner is a semi-final between Argentina and England, so FIFA will try to make it happen. Just as France vs Spain is a recognised grudge match (thanks to geography). Which sets it all up for a Mbappé vs Messi final - a wet dream for advertising and merchandise.
England genuinely only has Jude Bellingham; he’s the one carrying the team on his shoulders.
The only thing saving England is Bellingham, who has had a good World Cup.
bellingham is my everything btw when i say i love england i mean i love #him
Trump is flailing right now. He is so terrified about losing the midterms that he will do and say anything just like he has done his whole life to escape accountability. We need to pour it on. Don't just make him lose the midterms but absolutely crush him.

Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America. He embodies the broken system we’re running against. It’s time to come together: The People vs. Ken Paxton
I NEVER want to hear ANYONE ever complaining about the deficit and spending when the President, his family and his cabal of corruption ARE DRAINING OUR TREASURY TO LINE THEIR OWN POCKETS TO THE TUNE OF BILLIONS OF AMERICAN TAXPAYER DOLLARS AND NOBODY IS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT
The most corrupt president in the history of the world and it’s not close.
The far-right politician they voted for did something that upset them, but that doesn’t mean the far-right views that led them to vote for him in the first place have changed.
After reading a bunch of articles over the last decade about people who regret voting for the latest far right politician and seeing the things they say I now just assume that these people a. would actually still vote for that asshole if given the choice or b. would also vote for the next asshole.
"Democratic governors and state legislators need to realize that this is no longer about fairness; it’s about fighting back so that they are not engineered out of the House forever. And I get that Dems don’t have the stomach for this kind of warfare--- find it."
I just watched a DW report on a possible JD Vance or Marco Rubio presidency and the differences between them. The idea of MAGA and fascism lasting beyond 2029 genuinely horrifies me. I’d vote for any Democrat capable of stopping this direction and reversing this path.
A new 2028 poll from FocalData: @kamalaharris.com 38% Newsom 15% AOC 8% Buttigieg 8% Kelly 5% Shapiro 5% Pritzker 2% Beshear 2% Stewart 2% Ossoff 1% www.focaldata.com/blog/democra...
sure gas is headed to $8/gallon but at least cornell got rid of their gender studies classes. or at least i think they did, i haven’t checked and if im being honest i wouldnt really know if they had or hadnt because it doesnt affect me but it makes $8/gallon gas all worth it
I was watching videos of people celebrating in the streets when Biden and Kamala won in 2020.

It’s bleak to be a Dem honestly, southern states can simply ram new maps through legislative process while Dems go through a painful process of going to voters and the court will still strike those down
Guys. Heads up. Let’s talk about Hantavirus. There have been SEVERAL bad takes and BLATANT misinformation circulating regarding this outbreak so I figured it was a good idea to make a thread about it. Stay calm. Stay vigilant. Know your facts. Here’s ALL you need to know. 🧪🧵⬇️
I was watching those presidential debates between Hillary and Trump, and my God, even though I think Trump is literally trash and a horrible person, there were arguments that made Hillary look very weak. For example, when he talked about trade deals that deindustrialized the country,
The Devil Wears Prada 2 reminds me of the possibility that someone like Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez might buy Vogue.
Bezos is considering purchasing Conde Nast as a present to his now wife. Conde Nast owns not just Vogue but also Wired. Apparently, purchasing media to turn it into a propaganda organ is now the latest nuptial gift among the oligarchs. I'm going to become the joker. www.yahoo.com/entertainmen...
