Finished the big relic grind in FFXIV. Still need to grind to upgrade three other weapons, but not tonight. I'm taking a firm break from the game tonight. XD
This is why I’m hesitant to rewatch some of my favorite childhood shows. I want them to hold up, and I know they very much may not.

It fills in missing animation and writing beats. Everything looks animated on 1s instead of 5s. Every missing plot thread is resolved in your own head.
I know it's a petty and pointless niggle but Yossi/Yoshi's Island was only ever Super Mario World 2 in the west where they also ignored the first Mario World being Super Mario Bros. 4. US marketing, eh? They just can't leave stuff alone. Still an awesome game, though.

GOD! THIS! The exact same people who are now defending AI generated images as valid art by saying the intended meaning behind it is more important were previously saying shit like "my five year old could have drawn this!". What a bunch of gigantic hypocrites!
jess m. 🌤️@jametc.bsky.social · 3w agoit's always funny how, for ages, these same chuds always valued art based on labour involved, ie if someone taped a banana to a wall or just painted a large canvas red, it was "lazy" and "anyone can just do that" and now that AI lets them larp as creators it's "none of that matters, only intention"
It's also entirely plausible Bowser has a wardrobe full of the sheer and sexy undergarments he's being depicted in. Mario goes into Bowser's castle to rescue Peach, Luigi goes in to find Bowser's secret thong vault.

Making progress on the last stage of the relic weapon in FFXIV. While it's a big checklist to go through, it does at least serve as a neat capstone to Dawntrail, reminding you of your journey and your achievements.
Few things in FFXIV irk me more than One-Gil Trolls (those who undercut you by just one single gil, no matter what price you set) trying to bait you into a price war on the market.

Medicine. Medicine has grown by leaps and bounds. You cannot introduce vaccines that crater cancer rates, cure AIDS, and cure sickle cell, and then tell me things have only gotten worse. Also: Food. To a HUGE degree. I eat what I once considered rare treats every day, now.

Gonna be blunt, the reason I complain about AI so much is because it's made so much extra work for me, as I'm inundated with AI slopware games that I have to sort through and filter out, if this garbage tech ceased to exist tomorrow, it would be an immediate ease of that workload.
