In the early D&D, there was a lot of stone soup. Imagine that Star Wars had been out, and someone said "Can I have a lightsaber?" and Gary said "Sure." Imagine you didn't know Star Wars, and thought lightsabers were FROM D&D. Read the Appendix N to learn how much of REFERENCING D&D actually is.

Summoner Saga - Cinnamon Bird According to Herodotus, Arabians hunted these birds, who collected cinnamon from faraway lands, using their weight against them by loading them up with carcasses too heavy for their nests to support. Based on their diet, I based mine on Aegypius vultures.
