‘Difficult second album’ in telly: - League of Gentlemen S1 is great. S2 is all over the place. S3 tries something different. - Detectorists S2 is the weakest of the three, I feel. I love it but it’s not sure if it wants to be more of the same or not. S3 fab. - Psychoville S2 loses the plot.

Has anyone noticed that Jan Wright, the costume designer on The Two Doctors, attempts to make most of the Troughton-adjacent characters grey-scale, because he was the black and white Doctor? Even Jamie only puts his full tartan on when he meets Colin (though Shockeye's the odd one out) #DoctorWho

Dastari, the second Doctor and Chessene from the Two Doctors. They all wear grey and dull silver clothes.Stike and Varl, two Sontarans. They have potato-like heads and both wear silver grey spacesuits.Dastari, Chessene and the second Doctor, in silver and grey clothes on a spacestation office set. Jamie is present, wearing a beige shirt and red tartan kilt.

The Brigadier's memory loss in Mawdryn Undead only works if nobody who knew the Doctor contacts the Brig at any point between 1977 and 1983. Surely Sarah Jane must have rang him up at least once? Benton would’ve called up to ask for a reference. Jo must’ve popped round for a fondue party. #DoctorWho

Watching Ann Droid, and it's really rather lovely. There's a bit in Ep 4 where Sue Johnston says, "Sit down, Linda" which had me howling, and one in ep 5 where Linda says, "Did it have a government and judiciary?" which did likewise. Not quite sure what the message of the series is. AI is OK?*

You know that old one about the War Chief being the Master? Well, in Mark of the Rani, the Rani says, “I've been coming to this wretched planet for centuries […] The Trojan wars, the Dark Ages, the American War of Independence.” i.e. the plot of The War Games. The War Chief is the Rani! #DoctorWho

Which #DoctorWho stories do you feel you know the least? Every time I watch The Savages or The Highlanders, I enjoy them but have virtually no recollection of their actual content a week later. Ditto Fury from the Deep, Underworld, maybe Creature from the Pit...
