Yes, Jay Bhattacharya isn’t a real doctor, but as NIH head he should probably know that some children can’t receive the MMR vaccine and depend on herd immunity to stay alive.

Real accountability journalism would start with a strong presumption that you as a Senator are responsible for every single thing your party does (even more if you voted to advance it to the floor!). Reporters would ask Collins, ok, what did you to stop those Medicaid cuts, and why didn't it work?
The reason Zohran scares the shit out of them so much is that they think this sort of technocrat FDR liberalism/market socialism will *work* and be popular, not that it will fail and be unpopular. They're afraid that he will be a good mayor not a bad mayor.

Lots of interesting takeaways. For example: Marty Makary was entirely willing to abase himself for Donald Trump, but was too dumb to figure out what Trump - the least subtle person on Earth - expected of him.
