Isekai as a genre is exploding in popularity because it appeals to a universal desire to get hit by a truck rather than live in the 21st century.

A game dev friend was physically assaulted at an airport bc the attacker (a player from a game she workED on *checks notes* hates her. If you find yourself wanting to harm someone because you don’t like them personally or the game they work on, get help. You are part of the problem in this industry.
Had an interview with a recruiter for a production company, and indicated I would be invited to a second round interview. Got completely ghosted. Didn't get a rejection notice until weeks later. Cmon.
I remember hanging with a friend of mine, a writer from Obsidian. Reading news on my classic G1 Android phone. I read that Fallout New Vegas broke a major sales record. I ask my friend if that came with a bonus. He said he was quitting his job because it didn't pay enough to live in California.

The irony is I don't think discs are that great of solution to preservation on the game side these days anyways. Patches and DLC basically made them a moot point in most cases. I hate to say but the best case for digital persvatuon is storing that shit on a hard drive somewhere.
Road Trip Day 1: NJ to Durham, NC. Usual traffic around Baltimore and DC, stopped at a NASA science center, and met up with @andybenditt.bsky.social and @spynosaur.bsky.social for dinner!
Video games are good, they're so good man. It's very sad that a cabal of money idiots has ruined them for everyone
bro they laid off the Doom 2016 developers. that's like if you laid off the studio that made arguably one of the best first-person shooters of all time, like Doom 2016
3200 people 😮💨 Something's gotta give in this industry man
Everyone who is scared of cities and multiculturalism is a loser.
New Yorkers singing Empire State of Mind
Saw the Backrooms movie. Best Silent Hill adaptation to date!
i created this meme like 4 years ago on twitter and it went super viral and i think i got like 20 death threats. that's how you know i was cooking with this one
idonno man seeing every human post "please hire me for something im dying" meanwhile company and CEO post shit like "new record high profits" "i bought another destroy the environment machine" "thanks to our sponsers Actual Genocide" should maybe piss you off.
happy two years of excessive harassment and stalking for just banning a guy from a discord server
Saw Exit 8 at the theater last night! Very cool adaptation although I could feel the ghost of Shinzo Abe breathing down my neck by the end 😥
Might touch up some details, but think this one is just about done
when you really think about it, the true value of video games is in laying off thousands of the people who make them at regular intervals in order to increase shareholder value 🥰
Counterpoint: it's good when dipshit assholes who make the world a worse place die. We should celebrate it more. We should do giant parades through the street with the guy's face on a big poster that says "RIP IN PISS" on it
I am trying to reply to everyone, but I am at work sowwy! I think posting "GOOD I AM GLAD HE IS DEAD" after someone dies is corrosive to ones soul, and just feeds an outrage culture where you can find any reason to justify your anger. I think giving 24h is good. (Its also solid quality control tbh)
the cycle of “devs working for years to make a game > game launches (and it doesn’t matter how successful it is) > two week waiting period > most of the team laid off” is not only entirely unsustainable but genuinely horrifying
Highguard developer Wildlight has reportedly laid off most of its team, says one a level designer sharing the news of layoffs. The live service game launched just two weeks ago after being revealed at The Game Awards. (Read more at Game Informer)
