I once had a longtime criminal defense attorney tell me he felt guilty people often said “there’s no way this could have happened because of X, Y and Z,” instead of ”this did not happen because I did not do it.”

This HR lady doesn’t know me from dick and not to mention my manager fabricated the whole situation (she was fucking my coworker, they both eventually got fired for THAT) But like…I *know* this person does not trust me. And I know my manager *lied on me* So I have to appeal to *reason*
