Wendell Berry, novelist, poet, farmer environmental activist, and so much more, has passed away. I had the honor of communicating with him when he wrote the foreword to a book I was editing. That briefest of encounters left me in awe of his wisdom and kindness and wanting to know more.

The two things that <actually> destroyed Biden's presidency were the freakout over 🇦🇫 & the freakout over inflation. And Trump's debacles in 🇮🇷 & with tariffs/inflation are orders of magnitude worse than each of those. It's incredibly obvious how wildly different the standards are for Republicans.
