Cute Evil. Craft beer junkie. Turophile. Amerikiwi. Just a Kansas City, MO girl living in a Kiwi world. Mouthpiece of Yeastie Boys. I'd be a much better unicorn. Trying to figure out which social media platform to use. 🤷🏻‍♀️

THREAD. A collection of photographs of excellent horses and ponies I have met on my walks in the British countryside. You will find the vital biographical information for each horse or pony in the alt text.

A pony who is displaying anger towards me because I have had the temerity to suggest its love of being emo is "just a phase" rather than an authentic commitment for life.

Those who try to tell you #grief has a timeline have never lost anyone close to them. I lost my Mom 25 years ago & all that grief was up today. I’m grateful it’s up to finally be released as I have tools now I didn’t at 17 when Dad died & 23 when she did. Be gentle with yourself.

I ordered 10 voter enrollment forms from the electoral commission & my son got his mates to update or register for the first time. They're free & if you meet someone not enrolled, you can have it done in a minute & post it on their behalf if they want.

Hey NZ parents, what can we do to get your young adult kids enrolled to vote? I know it's the responsibility of the young adults, but is there something we can do to help things along?

Do any of my NZ pocket friends like to make entomology-related art/merch & would like to sell their crafts at our upcoming NZ Entomological Society conference 1st week September? If so, please get in touch. 🪲 🐞 🪱 🪰 🕷

“The Electoral Commission has told staff to turn away voters who aren’t on the printed roll and who say they’re unenrolled, but has no plans to count how many people will be affected.” So nice to see democracy in action, nothing to worry about here, love NZ’s accessible and clear election process.

The Opposition says people who think they're not enrolled should lodge special votes rather than being turned away from voting entirely.

SEAGULL FACTS: The record for the largest number of sandwiches stolen by a seagull in one day is 74. The Chinese word for seagull translates as "the beaked horse who stares". The robust digestive system of seagulls allows them to eat many things weaker birds cannot, including multisockets & kettles.

A photograph of one of Lyme Regis' finest herring gulls, just after I had asked it "What you looking at?" and it had answered "Don't know. It hasn't got a label."
