Mugged Poet. Should've stayed at home. They'll win in the end: it's the only victory we've got left. A plague on all your houses.
Who remembers the channel four red triangle films? Writing something and curious about what people recall - scenes, titles? Watching/not watching ...
Passing it on, boys. Thanks, to all the playwrights now & then who've said such good things, to move us, in time.

This 👇 remains true, so if anyone wants to see Cleansed, DM me.
Yes. But can I shift my +1 for a swift 90 minutes/no interval* of Cleansed next week? Not a chance... *finest words in the English language
Frankly astonishing piece by @alexisconran.com on all the data our phones keep on us and what they do with it (it's not good). open.substack.com/pub/scamproo...
Andy Burnham has claimed only 500 prison places were added between 2010 and 2024, but Kemi Badenoch says the Conservatives created 14,000 new places. Can these two claims add up? We’ve had a look at the figures 👇 fullfact.org/crime/how-ma...
How many prison places did the Conservatives create? – Full Fact
Andy Burnham and Kemi Badenoch have made seemingly contradictory claims about the previous government’s record on prison places.

My generation raised on the Red and the Blue with their omissions didn't know it. What an album to discover.

My councillor looks after a £1Bln budget and 15,000 staff running every service needed by Joe Public. Maybe Tory councillors just check the bins and parking but ours definitely don’t. They don’t always get it right but I wouldn’t want their job. How disrespectful as always from Badenoch
Badenoch represents double-down conservatism. Never apologise or moderate. Insult your opponents. Patronise journalists when challenged. Contradict yourself, lie, whatever it takes, but never back down. And that's how you end up creating an extremely avoidable Tory antisemitism scandal overnight

Anyone else plagued by a WhatsApp "preparing backup" which endlessly cycles, never backs up and drains phone battery? Yes, have cleared cache, logged out/in, restarted, checked storage (loads), the whole deal but to no avail. Help!
Every fkn day. There is something genuinely creepy about men sitting around designing endless new stealthy intrusion machines.
Just in case you didn't already hate Amazon enough, they just added a non-turnoff-able Alexa AI chat window that generates spam based on every product search.

A great maker of theatre and one of the last of the postwar heyday. Rare that someone listens so closely to working class voices and monkeys with form and timelines so deftly. Interviewed him for my first piece for a national paper, along w his assistant director, one Josie Rourke. He was a gent.
No-one in British theatre had a finer ear for dialogue than Peter Gill (1939-2026). The most meticulous of directors, unfashionably loyal to talent not stardom, he was also a superbly compassionate writer whose charged, emotional plays charted gay sexuality and working-class lives like no other. RIP
This is absolutely incredible. When the 2 back ups make the choice to go 'we're going to shut up and demonstrate where the problem is here' is just glorious
I love a good National Anthem disaster 😂
Aaww heck. Never a word or a move out of place. Always on target. RIP Peter Gill.

This is tremendous.

"Stop The Planet Of The Apes, I Want To Get Off" doesn't really hit as a joke anymore because it seems like a far more logical subject for a musical than half the stuff off the West End at this point.

How much of this is old people tuning into GB News for the daytime nostalgia bait of Angela Rippon, Anne Diamond & Eamonn Holmes, and falling asleep in front of their TVs?
Is @ofcom.bsky.social going to continue to look the other way?
NEW: GB News has now spent a year as the leading news channel (though Ofcom treats its shows as "current affairs"). BARB data says it has been ahead of BBC News Channel and Sky News for 12 months in terms of average views. Still losing money, but gaining influence.
