77 isn't a bad place for an individual game to end up on Metacritic, and some more "just OK" video games could be healthy for the industry... If you are like Nintendo shipping a new title every month... different story if you are releasing less than one new video game a quarter during the year.

so many things wrong anyway like: - it's implying Metroid Ravenous was made in a year - Metroid already had misses before and it still got back just fine - some are also thinking since Prime 4 that Nintendo 100% lost their touch and shouldn't touch it again which is also stupid for reason just above

My favorite reactions to read are the ones about Metroid Ravenous where they're like "Metroid Prime 4 failed hard though why" as if one failure means we should stop with it and move on instead of just, like, moving on and make a better game later?

"The Customer Appreciation Sale... is made possible in part by tariff-related refunds. While Nintendo absorbed most tariff-related costs, the refunds helped make promotions like this one possible." That's.... not how sales work. Such odd framing.

On the one hand I fully support Sony realizing (like Konami did) that giving Kojima a blank check to make games that sell just okay is a bad move. On the other hand, are they at this point just looking for corners of their audience they haven't alienated yet?
