Another thing I love about the new house: the kitchen is easily twice the size of our old one. It has a dishwasher and a double sink and there’s so much more counter space that there’s room for Gideon to supervise
Mia!!! On BlueSky

Nonbinary archivist gremlin posting through it By day: records manager, friend to crows By night: gender criminal, embroiderer https://anxiousarchives.neocities.org/ They/them. Jewish witch who says Free Palestine. No TERFs.
Okay here’s my running thread of stuff I love about our new place! The inspiration for this thread was the fact that I can smoke weed on the balcony all day long and won’t ever get in trouble for it. It’s literally in the strata rules that you’re allowed to smoke weed on the balcony.
Is it weird if I start a “stuff I love about the new house” thread? Because there’s a lot of stuff I love about the new house, and we spent ten years in a really shitty place and then found our dream home with everything we wanted and sometimes I wanna be grateful about it on main

I shit a lot on the Phantom Menace, but it did accurately predict how most journalists would react to fascism
We’re watching Murderbot and holy shit it’s just Allegory Of The Autistic Experience: An Apple TV Original
We were up until 3am last night and yet I’m still here, facing down 40, confused why I feel crummy this afternoon Mia you’re an idiot
Dedicated B - Loneliest Time - Loveliest Time, but no one is ready to talk about that yet 💅
What's the best three album run from a band? (the correct answer is Moving Pictures, Signals, and Grace Under Pressure by Rush, but I'm excited to learn second place)
"But my nostalgia! But my favorite morning word game! But this mid video game! But my sport! But my chicken sandwich!" Hey, real quick, what ARE you willing to give up to not support our oppressors?
(Reassuringly) the president has the zoomies
Sen. John Kennedy on Trump's blatant reflecting pool lies: "The president says it was caused by vandals. I don't know if he really believes that or it's part of his political messaging or he's just thinking out loud ... he grows anxious when he has an unexpressed thought."
I don't want to see "ally" in your bio. I want to see "ally" in your actions.
The best allies aren’t allies. They’re accomplices. They’re the ones who would fight the jackboots coming for us. They’re the ones who don’t flinch in the face of transphobia. They’re the ones who would go to jail to protect us. They don’t have “ally” in their bio. They show it.
Well, I didn’t think For All Mankind could top their needle drop from last season, but they went ahead and did it. Holy fuck.
The thing about #ForAllMankind is that even when it’s not as good as it was, it’s still tremendously good. Ronald Moore makes good sci-fi television!
For All Mankind truly is one of my favourite tv shows of all time. It’s so good. Even when it struggles, it’s so good.
Shout out to the lady ahead of me in line at the dollar store who purchased three bags of sour skittles and half a dozen large bottles of hydrogen peroxide, idk what your plans are tonight queen but I will be your alibi

The Library at Mount Char is a life-changing novel. I devoured it in 24 hours and have thought about it every day since. It’s gorgeous and terrifying, a powerful exploration of familial trauma and the fawn response. As an eldest daughter, I felt seen and understood. Gorgeous book.
Are you excited about Darker Times Book Club, yet? We know we are! To drum up some extra hype, we asked our founding members how they're feeling about reading The Library at Mount Char. Swipe through to see their responses, and better yet, tell us how YOU are feeling about picking up our first pick!
GO HOME, ED BALDWIN, YOU DEEPLY OLD MAN (We’re watching the latest season of For All Mankind)
The richest man in the world says stuff like “money won’t exist in ten years” and we’re still expected to take him and the system that props him up seriously
Odyssey sequel that takes place in Ithaca New York in 1997 and all the Greek gods are still around but significantly more tired. The movie is about a guy going home from work and it takes an extra 10 minutes due to the gods not really being into it. He barely even notices the inconvenience.
It's honestly maybe a point that we should be making more regularly. Trump, Musk, J.K. Rowling- they are all perfect examples of "capitalist success" and yet they are all miserable all the fucking time.
