UK MPs accepted £400,000 of hospitality to concerts, sports, other events. Donors get access, buy influence. Despite £98,599 pay+exps, too many MPs have 2nd jobs, neglect duty to the people, obey paymasters. Parties also for sale. All part of political corruption, and poor state of the country.

An innovative floating offshore solar project that generates electricity and converts seawater into drinking water. The farm near Gran Canaria produces 85 MW of renewable electricity while using that same power to operate reverse osmosis systems that desalinate seawater #ActOnClimate #renewables

Isn't it strange that the whole world believes scientists when they predict a solar eclipse with microsecond accuracy, but not when they predicted the existential threat of global heating due to the emission of greenhouse gases.

Hooray for Brexit sovereignty! We successfully liberated our regulations so ExxonMobil could use the UK as a legal back-door to sabotage European carbon capture rules. Truly a triumph for global climate action and taking back control. 🇬🇧🇪🇺 #FBPE #ClimateCrisis

If Farage admitted how damaging Brexit was for the U.K. he’d have to give back all those Roubles he might have got for the job, as well as that £5million from Thai chap & the nice little deal he had with Aaron Banks. He claims to be a ‘patriot’ but we might sometimes wonder for which country that is

Don’t let Nigel Farage get away with claiming Brexit is good for either our national security or economy. It’s the reverse - Join us in @labour4europe.bsky.social to help reset our relationship with the EU and put our national defence first.

I suspected that a lot of people on here, who happily supported the coup because they wanted a 'charismatic leader', might end up regretting it once they saw the reality of someone that desperate for power. I didn't expect it to happen within the first weekend of El Presidente Burnham's reign.

No other country in the world created a VIP lane. Our public services had been deliberately run down, there was no plan in place. Johnson failed in his job, his government ministers, failed. In a moment of crisis many offered help but some thought, ‘How do I make money out of this?’.

DWP's own figures: benefit fraud £6.5bn. HMRC tax gap: £39.8bn. You're 23x more likely to be prosecuted for benefit fraud than tax fraud despite tax fraud costing 9x more. Junior doctors: £1.3bn. Banker NI relief: £7.3bn. It's in the government's own data. You're just not supposed to notice.

How much more damage to our economy, may many more billions lost, how many more public services underfunded, till the UK get's a political leader who is honest with the public about the damage caused by Brexit and takes the UK back into the EU?
