Tariffs on all countries that call for Infantino’s head? A US ban on soccer? An invasion of Spain to reclaim the 🏆? The possibilities are endless
Glad to see the UK update its Equality Act. It’s time we ended microaggressions against multi-millionaires, like rolling your eyes when they complain about stamp duty on their seventh home.
Evening.
Buses, famously for the richer classes and upper orders.
My eldest spot-on: “I love parking the bus for 40 mins with a one goal lead against a team that keeps coming from behind this tournament.”

The pitch here is that you now get to pay 20% of your cargo value to run the Strait of Hormuz while Iran shoots at you.
The President just announced a 20% toll on all cargo shipped through Hormuz, payable...to the US>
Watching a politician who failed as thoroughly as Theresa May lecture Andy Burnham on what it takes to be a good Prime Minister is a symbol of the hubris and inability to engage in self-reflection in Westminster that has repeatedly crashed the UK over the past twenty years
after everything you could almost forget Zelenskyy was a successful comedian
TRUMP: Would you go to Moscow? ZELENSKYY: It is difficult. There are lots of Ukrainian drones there. It's dangerous.

Northumbria University staff 'outraged' at job cuts after pension row strikes
After lecturers staged weeks of strike action over a pension dispute earlier this year, a fresh row over job losses at Northumbria University has now broken out

There are many reasons to love Britain and this is one of them.
In case you missed it, here's Count Binface's appearance on the BBC this morning.
The greatest Mexico v England tweets you will ever read. 😂 As you were.
All the people who are saying it's too expensive to tackle climate change today are the same people who twenty years ago said that climate change wasn't really happening
The cooling system was installed by the village AC technician, Thermodynamix 😊
If Iran had a sense of humor they'd name it the "Liberation Day Tariff".
TOLLS NOT ON THE TABLE BUT IRAN IS EXPECTED TO PROPOSE ENVIRONMENTAL, NAVIGATION AND SECURITY FEE, DIPLOMAT SAYS
can’t believe a narcissist is being so publicly humiliated by a reflecting pool
NEC will open nominations for new leader on July 9th - after the Nato summit. If there are no other candidates, you can expect Burnham to be in Number 10 by the following week.
Seven resignation speeches in just (two days) under ten years. Stability, that’s the thing about First Past the Post…
What if there was … two tier journalism …
Let's play 'Hunt the Edinburgh attack story in the Telegraph'...
And not a squeak from Farage, Lowe, Robinson or Tice. Nothing. Literally nothing.
A shirtless white man, in the street with a knife in his hand, having attacked and wounded five people, allegedly shouting anti-Muslim slogans is the sixth story on the BBC UK news page. There is absolutely no doubt at all this would be the lead story if attacker and intended victims were reversed.
First management @northumbriauni.bsky.social came for our pensions and pay - for no good reason. Now they're coming for our colleagues. This is terrible news for staff, students, and the region. @timeshighered.bsky.social @chroniclelive.co.uk @ukhenews.bsky.social @21group.bsky.social @ucu.org.uk

The most astonishing thing about where we are is not Trump. It is the number of people willing to follow even his most ludicrously contradictory twists and turns pretending they are the hallmark of greatness.
Trump endorses Iran having ballistic missiles: "I'm saying that if other countries have them, it's a little unfair for them not to have some"
Well, THAT'S a spot of good news. Is Northumbria listening?
'Sheffield Hallam University has abandoned plans to transfer staff to a subsidiary firm to save on pension costs ahead of expected falls in employer contribution rates next year.' 1/2
Emma Hayes: "this is a victory for immigration" (because the team are all disaspora). I thought I couldn't like her any more.
Yes, it really would have been great if the guys attacking innocent minority Belfast residents had had guns, wouldn't it? Nothing bad has ever happened with guns in Belfast before, so how can we tell?
Gun safes, gun locks, ammunition stored apart from the gun, and gun safety classes can drop those odds to damn near zero. Anyone can be a responsible gun owner if they choose to do so I am once again gesturing vaguely at Belfast
Despair. New post on my Brexit & Brexitism Blog about how politics is stuck whilst violence intensifies, how ‘the first lie wins’ in constructing political narratives, and how Brexit ruptured the 'cordon sanitaire'. Long and depressing read: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2026/06/desp...
Will Farage, Musk etc be condemning white people in general for the actions of this violent white person, and advocating rage or violence in response? Will the BBC be laundering their 'legitimate concerns' about those white folks?
Alina Burns, 19, of Lynton Road in Bristol, admitted attempting to murder Mohammed Mahmoodi, outside a barber's shop in Bristol. Burns approached Mahmoodi from behind and swung the axe at his neck. He was able to wrestle the weapon away from her before she could strike him again.
