@admiralmpj.bsky.social I need you to take a deep breath over TPP. Economists @deanbaker13.bsky.social and @pkrugman.bsky.social both opposed TPP because it was a bad agreement. Neither of them are in the groups you blame for killing it.

Remember the TPP? A Trade deal cooked up during the Obama Administration to put SOME rules in the Asian Trade Sector because at the time there were NO RULES. Fauxgressives went after Obama HARD because in they hated Free Trade so much that NO RULES on Trade was better than having SOME rules.1/4

Update: An FDA spokesperson confirmed that the agency has removed New York from its map of states where the recalled Taylor Farms lettuce was "confirmed" to be distributed after I reached out to ask them about New York's inclusion. NY's inclusion on the map appears to have been in error.

Hilari and I routinely donate(d) to food banks. But the real solution to hungry peeps is policy. It’s fair wages. It’s universal healthcare. It’s policy that does not allow corporations to force people into multiple part time jobs without benefits to make ends meet.
