Maybe the Body (Tin House, 2026), Beauty Talk (Noemi Press, 2026), One Way to Listen (Gold Line Press, 2023)

Alban Fischer illustrated the themes of "Beauty Talk" in a way I couldn't have imagined on my own. So glad to join the moon poets with my very own moon (in spoon)! I could eat it. 🌕🥄 P.S.: If you're interested in an ARC for reviews, interviews or classroom consideration, reach out!

Having a bunch of exceptionally well educated people with PhDs but no employment prospects creates a lot of instability. Especially since a bunch of grifting idiots and nepo babies are taking all the wealth and hoarding it. Radicalization is a rational reaction towards the end of social mobility.

This poem was written almost exactly a year ago at @kenyonreview.bsky.social's Writers Workshop under their ancient beech with poets Juan Camillo Garza and Maya Salameh (checkout MERMAID THEORY). You can find it in my new book BEAUTY TALK which comes out in October with @noemipress.bsky.social💜

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

I wish more journalists would point out that Sen. McConnell and Rep. Tom Kean (missed 4 months of work) are/were essentially on paid sick & medical leave. The same employment protection they’ve spent their careers blocking other Americans from having.

Across our country, our government is killing our immigrant friends, neighbors, relatives, and fellow workers. The UFW demands justice for Lorenzo and respect, safety and dignity for all immigrant workers.

I never spoke on this publicly but we were also subject to an anonymous false report— we thought it was a political attack, but it turned out it was the deranged 44 yo racist who lives downstairs with his mom. Despite clear lies (padded room, wrong gender of child), CPS “had” to investigate 🧵

This week someone targeted my family for harm with a false report. We’re physically OK, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t harmed. I am beyond furious. Whatever your politics, this is awful, wrong, and can never become normal.

30 years for moving a box of zines. Des Sanchez Estrada was not even at the noise demo that led to this. The state is attempting to make an example of these anti-fascist political prisoners. We can expect the crackdowns to continue & escalate. Take this seriously. Don't back down

We're proud to be a 2026 general operating grant awardee of the Literary Arts Fund! As a very small independent press, we're incredibly grateful for this support, which will help strengthen our operations and allow us to continue our mission to publish writing that challenges the status quo.

I just got a message that my local Planned Parenthood in Gainesville is shutting down. For the same trauma informed care (and the birth control insert I prefer), I'll have to travel to Jacksonville. I don't think people realize how much of an impact one clinic can have.

I mean this in an entirely superficial way. The hemlock is so pretty this time of year. The marsh rabbits at this point have eaten back everything except these sprawling white flowers.

Shared four hours ago. As though 155 students and staffs were not enough. “#Breaking the U.S. just struck Minab again. Absolutely diabolical behaviour. It also claims there is still a ceasefire in place.” Because they cannot defeat the Iranian people and forces.
