Once the facility is up and running, CoreCivic says it expects to generate $75 million in annual revenue.

In a statement, Patrick D. Swindle, CoreCivic’s CEO, said the company made recent repairs to the Appleton prison to prepare for a new contract. Contractors have been working at the prison since last fall.

Public works has reduced the driving space so much that you almost can't do anything but drive the speed limit past this elementary school. This is outrageous. It's like they have no concern for the people who left home 5 minutes late to drive their kids to school two towns over.

July 18th, 1986: A widely viewed tornado struck the Minneapolis/St Paul metro. Described as a "minimal" F2, the twister was observed by MNDOT cameras, a KARE-11 news helicopter, and tens of thousands of residents. Several dozen structures were damaged.
