Some people assume that because America does shitty things that anybody who fights against America is, at worst, misunderstood. In reality everybody directly promoting violence tends to be some shade of shit.

Yes, Pakistan shamelessly refusing to aid the Saudis basically collapsing the so called Mekka NATO in span of one month is also a big deal (though I'd argue that Islamabad will be forced to backtrack the statement).
The whole coast seems to have collapsed and the Houthis are said to be back at Perim island after a decade. They have Bab el-Mandeb. This is a disaster.

I just want to congratulate the swing voters who broke for Trump because the pandemic, war in Ukraine, and tight labor market drove moderate inflation for about 18 months. I hope they are pleased with the outcome they chose for everyone

This is seismic news for fisheries scientists. Northern cod is *the* iconic symbol of total fisheries collapse due to overfishing (and other factors) *and* the iconic symbol of a complete failure to recover for decades afterwards. This is like announcing the complete recovery of bison on land.

David Roberts@volts.wtf · 3w agoChina's net greenhouse gas emissions *fell* this past quarter. Why? Because rapidly expanding electric vehicle use is putting a serious dent in oil demand. We could do that too. But we're not. We have the slowest EV update in the developed world, thanks to Trump.
