Bought some journals I don't need at Goodwill. The green one was fate, though. I saw it weeks ago and was waiting for its orange tag to be discounted. It had siblings, which are lost to time, but I got this one. The other is just cool. What do you call that type of binding?
I paid 5 bills across 4 websites today, and then the checkbook balanced. I also did 3 loads of laundry and wrote to my best friend and a fan letter to an author whose work I admire I think I deserve an extra chocolate.

My priest read a prayer by ChatGPT in church today and even though he presented it as a thought experiment I was mad. In addition to the other problems, the prayer was pretty boring crap. I would rather listen to Mary Oliver poetry in church, and I hated when my last church read her stuff.

13yo and I finally finished reading FLATTERLAND, by Ian Stewart. Took us nearly 2 months and the math lost me at the end, but we enjoyed it.

It should have been $150,000 per title. It should have put Anthropic out of business and made me and other authors financially secure enough to keep writing and keep creating and keep fighting. We’re getting a token gesture. Anthropic won here. They pay a pittance (for them) and can do it again.
