This is a good thing to keep in mind when using 3D models for drawing! Most 3D models i see move the arm like the left pic, so remember to draw in that raised clavicle yourself!

Our feature artist/tutorial today looks at what happens to the SHOULDER when we RAISE THE ARM, by the talented @kato_anatomy! The SCAPULA comes up, creating a visible “Bump” at the side, the CLAVICLE angles UP from the STERNUM, and the SHOULDER moves UP and IN towards the NECK!

A lot of people don’t realize the dust bowl wasn’t a natural phenomenon. It happened when agrobusiness interests dramatically transformed the plains without regard for drought, and created vicious dust storms that choked whole families to death. That’s what I think of when I read about data centers.

This is poignant in light of Holland’s injury filming his latest spider outing. I’m not sure when the injury happened vis-a-vis ODYSSEY’s production schedule, but one of the primary reasons you script & storyboard ahead of time, especially in an action film, is so people *don’t get hurt*.

During The Odyssey’s production, Holland’s collaborators on Spider-Man got used to hearing about Christopher Nolan. “I was really able to lay down the law and say, ‘We are not going to come to set and figure it out,’ ” Holland said. “ ‘We need to know why we are making this movie beyond the fact that it’s Spider-Man 4 and they make loads of money and we’re going to just have a big summer. Why are we making this movie?’ And Destin was super instrumental in that, but it was just really great to constantly be calling up the studio and [producers] Amy [Pascal] and Rachel [O’Connor], who I love, and be like, ‘Well, Chris is doing it this way. This is how I think we should be doing it.’ ”
