I'd argue that, for the metrics, it's vastly MORE important that viewers turn this off. There's more viewers than streamers, so even if every streamer turned this off, if viewers don't, the executives can still claim that "most users don't care" and cram it down our throats even harder. Opt out.

Even if you're just a viewer and not a streamer, tell them through metrics that you reject AI: Twitch.tv > Settings > Security and Privacy > Training for Generative AI: OFF

You can love someone you love even if you don't love yourself🏳️‍⚧️ But if you love yourself, you can love both yourself and the person you love. Your love becomes twofold. So take care of yourself. Your soul is beautiful.

Breaking character to share something I'm doing over on my Twitch stream. I invite other streamers to do the same. Amazon crossed a line with their default opt-in scheme to use streamers for generative AI training data. We don't have to take it, and we can have a direct impact on their profits.

Fuck Amazon for trying to force Twitch streamers into being used for AI training. We don't have to take this. I am making my subscriber emotes free to use via BetterTTV: betterttv.com/users/5fd5c5... Instead of subscribing, consider a small monthly donation to my Ko-Fi: ko-fi.com/flickybirb

Howdy @everyone! So. Twitch keeps on enshittifying, huh? Well, I'm not about to just sit by and keep feeding half of the money you pay to support me into the system.
# Moving forward, most Subscriber emotes are now available *for free* via the [BetterTTV](https://betterttv.com/users/5fd5c528a02cf1347ff96d14) browser extension!
Fuck locking these behind a paywall that requires you to give money to Amazon, especially when they're getting more aggressive in their approach to letting AI use our content.

You will still need to subscribe to my channel if you want to use them on other channels, but that's your choice - you now no longer need to be subscribed to use them on my own.

# Additionally, unless you're using a complimentary Twitch Prime subscription, I would like to ask that instead of subscribing to my channel, you consider donating $5 via [my Ko-Fi](https://ko-fi.com/flickybirb) each month.
This would mean that I get a larger share of your support, and Twitch/Amazon gets none of it. They don't need it, and you can rest easy knowing your money is being split less aggressively between the person you actually want to support and a platform that enables creators to get that support more directly.

Even if you don't have the BetterTTV extension installed (i.e., you're on mobile), if you type in the correct name of a BTTV emote, it will appear to everyone else and on the on-screen chat as that emote.
# You can install the BetterTTV extension on your preferred browser [at their site!](https://betterttv.com/)

Ozamu Tezuka has these little editorial sections at the beginning of each Astro Boy story and its really fascinating to see his perspective about how sensitive overseas executives were about on-screen depictions of violence despite their countries committing some of the worst atrocities in the world

I'm not sure how the "R" slur has been making a big comeback these days but it's fucking weird. I was in a call recently where someone said it casually. We told them "hey, don't use that word" and they were like "it's a bad word?" We gotta walk back this level of cooked man.

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
