Canada's oldest Speculative Fiction bookstore, founded in 1972. www.bakkaphoenixbooks.com. We are located in Toronto, Ontario.

Might as well admit it: Think you've been creeped out by Google results that refer specifically to things you were discussing vocally while in the same room as your phone? That was nothing. Buy your bookseller a drink and ask what we know about our regulars. You'll shush *yourself* next time.

Wanted to let y’all know about these Iron Druid stained glass bookmarks made by an artist in Canada: They’re licensed and I’m donating my proceeds to an Ottawa food bank. So if you order one, •you get a nifty bookmark •you support an artist •hungry peeps get to eat shorturl.at/eP0Tj

Pic of the artist holding two stained glass Iron Druid bookmarks; one features Atticus and the other features Oberon the Irish wolfhound. You can see the light passing through them and reflecting onto a table below. It’s super nifty.

Yay! We're so excited for Didi and for Winnipeg to get what promises to be a great space and cool shop. If you're local to them, please check them out once they open their doors! We're probably biased, but sci-fi and fantasy stores are the best. 😉

Introducing, coming to Winnipeg this summer: Other Places Books. A bookstore specializing in science fiction and fantasy. opbooks.store

A DIVIDED DUTY, the 20th--20th! How did we get here?--October Daye book, comes out on September 29th! We are currently running a super-awesome pre-order campaign for independent bookstores, and in the interests of convincing you to order a copy, I am going to recap the series in poetic form.

So far today I checked Bluesky briefly while making coffee and then on my lunch break, and those brief visits resulted in me buying one book and putting several others on my wishlist. Thank you all for talking about books -- your own included.
