Just started actual training for my March marathon. 6.5 miles, and a hojicha einspanner to celebrate. I always do a before and after photo shoot. My weight isn't an issue, but my SHAPE always changes dramatically while in training, and I like to see the difference. (not bad for 52 with 2 kids!)

In the same way that the invention of photography incentived the development of abstract art, the silver lining to this immense dark cloud is that a type of "dirty" art will be incentivized. One that revels in ugliness and the vulnerability of human error. The end of auto-tune.

Took my mom for x-rays and post surgery follow-up in the midwest heat. We decided we needed a treat afterwards. Oreo. Reeses. Cheesecake. Love the food scene in LA, but I DO miss Culvers!
5.5 miles. Iced caramel oat toffee nut latte (half sweet). 2.5 miles home. it was already 84 degrees when I got home, but at least I avoided the upper 90s later in the day!

I've been more or less keeping up with my running while helping my mom out, other than the entire week where it was either raining or 100+ degrees. This was my first run long enough to get to a good coffee shop. Half sweet almond milk cafe miel.
I'm staying with my mom for a few weeks while she recovers from a broken hip. She's getting aroun surprisingly well, but mostly just goes to the bathroom or her office. My main job is cooking. Last night was garlic shrimp fried rice.
