New at FOREVER WARS: I read the entire South Africa genocide case against Israel. Contrary to what the US and Israeli governments have said about it, it isn’t a frivolous or malicious document. It’s a deeply serious one that the entire world has to reckon with.

With reports of 48 dead after yesterday's earthquake in Japan, local authorities are too busy to worry about museums; but it's sad to hear a report verified by local and national press that the Go Nagai Musuem in Wajima, devoted to the city's most famous native #mangaka , has burned down.

Two newspapers have reported that the museum dedicated to Mazinger Z and Devilman manga creator Go Nagai has burned down after Monday's 7․6-magnitude earthquake in western Japan. Nagai himself is currently in Tokyo.

Finally saw Oppenheimer, and I’ve got to say: Atomic blast? Too small. I admire Nolan’s commitment to practical effects, but I don’t think a bunch of composited gasoline explosions—big though it is—still captures the enormity of that explosion.
