Back on Twitter, when autumn proper arrived I would always post the video someone made for Sandy Denny's No End (Demo) by holding a camera phone up against the train window. By popular request (well, from @robinallender.bsky.social) I'll start doing that here. youtu.be/o9sERw40Pes?...

This is one of the most terrifying interviews I’ve ever seen. The slow reveal of the mental landscape at work here. If you don’t end up thinking we should stop these people with as much force as we can muster, I’d be very surprised. youtu.be/lnLDjXy2kRA?...

passing the "zionism is racism" motion on the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street is a bit on the fucking nose isn't it
If you like Metroidvania games, I recommend Well Dweller. Beautiful to look at and a joy to play.
Absolutely extraordinary. A genuine peek into an alternate reality (the 1960s).
Nestle Keen (1960-circa 1970): A line of powdered drink mix, sold in packets and glass jars. Available in flavors such as lemonade, cherry, grape, orange, and tahiti punch. But there's oh so much more to it than that! Check this 🧵 for some serious 60's wackiness!
Elvis: Now the two key words for tonight: "caution" and "flammable". JFK: Also "watch your ass".

It's time for my biannual Indian visa photo at Timpson. More accurately described as "make this woman look like road kill". Not Timpson's fault - it's the horrific collision of my face for radio with the prescriptive photo format.
Che Guevara and Debussy to a disco beat. Imperial phase PSB.
Toy Story 5 followed Hoppers. The latter is by no means a great Pixar film but is a work of genius compared to TS5. (I enjoyed the Beaver King retelling Hamlet as if Danes were beavers.)
Can I interest you in this 16th century figure of Death I spotted yesterday at the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia, part of their incredible collection of medieval carvings and altarpieces 💀...
Successful first day in Prague. Ended with an evening stroll, passing the Museum of Alchemy just as they were setting up a puppet theatre production of Faust in the courtyard! It was pretty great! Very much informed by Švankmajer (they did the "Padlookay! Pilookay!" routine, I grinned like heck)...
I now have to find iced gems because the Kiwi has never had them.
