It's notable that in one of El-Sayed's first speeches after a "noun, verb, AIPAC" filled primary is primarily focused on things people supposedly hated hearing about when it came from Establishment Dems.

That’s one of the things that is blowing my mind. l don’t think I ever saw a poll that showed El-Sayed beating the Republican. I could be wrong but I don’t remember seeing one. I saw several polls with Stevens beating the republican. When your only goal is to beat democrats that’s a problem.

I saw a poll from Michigan showing almost 70% of Black ppl are voting for Stevens. Why? My guess it's because it polls show her beating the Republican. Black ppl are pragmatic voters. There is no reason the Dems shouldn't win the Senate. But between Platner and El-Syed it's gonna be tight.

Yes, we 100% saw it with Mamdani last year where the fact that a lot of Cuomo voters/NY Establishment Dems came over after the primary made them furious bc it wrecked their narrative that Dems actually hated the guy & a vote for him was a vote to stick it to the Democratic Party

So anyway, I expect all the El-Sayad stans who called both Kamala Harris and Haley Stevens genociders will, now that both women have endorsed him following his 1.3% win, say that he's tainted by the association and they can no longer support him. If they're consistent, I mean.

My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.

8. Stop the defeatist language when asked about what you’ll do. Don’t concede you won’t be able to pass legislation. Your primary opponent had done it. Other Dems have. 9. Actually listen to Black voters instead of paying a pastor 75k. 10. Fix your margins in the places Rogers will win.

The insurgent left spends the entire primary season calling Democrats the hopelessly corrupt establishment, claims every source of party revenue is tainted by evil, insists any pol who accepts that revenue is compromised, then pivots to demanding that same party revenue if their leftist faves win.

When I see a leftist platform that addresses domestic issues that tackles problems faced by and in the Black community, I will give them an ear. That's all they've earned at that point. If they want support, then work must be done to show my support isn't sorely misplaced. 5/6
