I might be speaking too soon but HOLY SHIT I think I finally figured out why the Shadowcast 3 was having such a nasty audio desync with GBA stuff. Somehow, of all things, it's OBS capturing audio from the card's properties menu. Having audio as a separate source removes the desync completely.
