In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.

Old Trolleys, particularly those with swerves, feel rather energetic. They dance around even when the rails are straight, and huff impatiently when they have to wait for something. They're very aloof and complain when they're overcrowded. This trolley from Scranton, PA is 100 years old this year.

So, ok, a thing about telling yr audience "i use AI for my info gathering/research but then I look over it and fix any errors" is that you unfortunately told me youve outsourced your knowledge base on this subject to the machine, and therefore I have no reason to believe you CAN catch those errors

Why bother with "buy America" for rail/transit vehicles when they keep closing the plants after the orders are delivered...it made more sense when you had Budd, ACF, or Pullman around with a workforce armed with institutional knowledge.
