He/him Developing for the Playdate! https://grackalope-games.itch.io

It’s great to have spaces where you can indulge in a hobby without constant reminders of how stupid *everything* is.

Hi #Playdate Community! Me and some other devs have put together a new unofficial server for people developing for the playdate device. No minimum skill level required. The server is dedicated to human creativity (no AI) so come by Playdate Café if that sounds like your vibe: discord.gg/ppqeURy9m

Introducing: PeeDeeTV PeeDeeTV is a community-oriented live streaming TV-like experience right on the Playdate. The first of its kind (ish), with a rotating schedule every week. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, but there should always be something new to watch! Launching 28th July @ peedee.tv

hey man we used AI in the production process of this game but don't worry none of it made it in the game, it was a huge waste of time and money, and we could've just looked at stock photos at the end of the day. You have to accept the future.

Mina the Hollower and 868-BACK releasing on the same day got me feeling like the “Guy sweating over 2 buttons” meme. Only I can press two buttons because they collectively cost less than a tank of gas.

I want to think deeply about my game's logic with my slow human brain, and lovingly craft every detail. I don't want to move fast and break things, I want to move slow and fix things.

no joke I think this is like the number 2 most beneficial thing an indie developer can do (after learning how to make a game lol) because I don’t think this is a universal thought process and becoming a more well rounded person is free

assuming this really is one of the inspirations behind pikmin, this is a good example of one of many somethings inspiring a game (and how that can lead to something unique) VS one game inspiring a spiritual sequel which is just that game again but less budget
