"I had to use AI in my module because I can't afford an artist!" Did you even ask? The sheer amount of creators out there that are looking for people to write lore for their maps, art, characters, items, etc. is staggering. Put out a call & ask for shares. You'd be amazed at the results.

i miss shitty posters and event flyers. i miss really amateur, ugly websites and clipart used on business signs. i miss uneven, low res logos drawn on mspaint. i miss effort despite lack of experience or skill. i miss imperfection that shows signs of humanity.

It’s very simple and it’s been said over and over but I guess it needs saying continuously: if you deem one group too small to have equal rights you are enabling fascism, not fighting it. The people saying Dems are GREAT on trans rights are not paying attention and/or saying stuff like this.

The world is organized around protecting men from accountability and protecting D&D players from learning a better game

Housing update: equivalent of crashing on a distant relative's couch, but we have a permanent place in the works. Things are starting to stabilize. Remi is starting to act like his old self again since we got here, too. Temporary place is much more accessible for both me and him.

I worked a little on this. Mundus put together a great team and the book is objectively good, not just 'fan supplement good'. If you like Werewolf: the Apocalypse or enjoy climate justice and diversity in your TTRPGs, stay tuned for this.

Just a very brief but critical W:tE update: Book 1 is now in preflight. All text is laid out, what remains is indexing, citations, final proofreading, and sorting out revenue shares between team members. Next update you see on Book 1 will be its release. Vinegar is fine, but wine takes time.

We are a lot more paperwork and a few more weeks away from maybe finally having secure housing. Wish us luck that this opportunity goes through!

Disabled artist here. A big part of being an artist generally is being frustrated by the things in your brain / heart / soul / body not coming out the way you want or imagine. But then sometimes they come out in a surprising & even better way. Disabled or not.

Another day, another having to file a complaint about an apartment rental company (or at least their phone staff) not understanding what a service dog is and trying to insist I will need to pay pet fees.

We just toured an apartment complex that's well within our budget and actually understands disability law and has enough space in the units. I feel really good about it and I hope we get it. We're waiting a few more days to finish the app to get a huge app/SD discount from a promotion.

we have another tour scheduled tomorrow. This property is offering a large discount on the application fee (and possibly security deposit) for people who show up to their open house or tours within a certain timeframe. It looks like a good option.

It really bothers me that all these media outlets keep pushing the idea that being a dirtbag is somehow a working class behavior. As a working class person, regular working class people are one of the most intensely polite groups in America. This isn't by choice, it is for survival.

It is so hot in this godforsaken room. I am sweating. The fan (ceiling fan and the little evaporative cooler/fan we had to buy for safety) are on as high as we can put them. Remi is panting. I am sweating. It is 10 degrees cooler in the hallway. No windows. Owner has the AC off.
