One thing I dislike about this discourse is it too often revolves around if voting is justified as a lesser evil compromise. It's not. Democracy is good, full stop. It is essential and indispensable. A society without free elections would not be, in any way, better.
Faine Greenwood@faineg.com · 51m agoI feel confident there is a big correlation between “voting in every election” and “volunteering and organizing in other ways.” I am also confident “not voting” correlates a lot with “NOT volunteering or organizing.” Yet some keep claiming voting makes you MORE likely to not do anything else.

He is the President and he has been breaking the law with impunity, over and over and then flaunting it in public. The Supreme Court has said the only way to punish him is impeachment. Not impeaching sends the message that any president anytime in the future can do whatever the fuck they want.

Some GOP senators genuinely agree with him and some just think he'll kill them if they impeach but same result.

You cannot get anything done while the fascists are in power and free. So use all the energy you can to expose their crimes and set the stage to lock them up. A former prosecutor of all people should understand that, rather than this Kumbaya bullshit.
