I wrote the soundtrack to Amélie

Every time I listen to Street Legal I'm like man I forgot how great this album is, and then I immediately forget about it again for two years, leading me to wonder if Bob Dylan's 18th studio album is in fact an anti-memetic artefact.

I have a really clear memory of being six and driving down the freeway with my dad and saying “I reckon I can run this fast” and him, weirdly annoyed, saying “no you can’t”. I always wondered why that pissed him off so much but now that I have a six year old I get it. I get it, Dad.

- Hey there’s a really smart guy at the New Yorker who only interviews people he’s pissed off with and everyone who does it comes out looking like a bozo. He wants to talk to you, I figured you wouldn’t - - My God yes can he do 2pm

I only recently learned that John Wilkes Booth wasn’t just an actor but a reasonably famous one from a famous acting family. Having run the numbers, I’ve decided it’s like if Bill Skarsgard or maybe Liam Hemsworth shot the president today during a screening of one of the Conjuring films.

I’ve only seen the trailer but is the plot of the new i know what you did last summer that a different group of teens run over the same fisherman three decades later? Because if so that’s incredibly funny.

lol all the characters in paw patrol on paramount+ have English accents for some reason instead of the original Canadian, and Moses just looked at the tv in disgust and said “there is something wrong with our speakers”

One of the interesting things about animated kids tv now is that I guess animating large numbers of people is expensive so they all take place in these towns full of lovely buildings but with haunting, empty streets and like six residents, giving the whole thing a post apocalyptic feel.

This has pissed me off for close to two years now. Why would the bread dream of a field of *corn*? It wouldn’t, it would dream of a field of wheat, which is exactly what the illustrator has drawn, possibly in an act of open defiance.
