on the bright side, it's kind of awesome that so many people are talking about THE ODYSSEY, the translation the movie is based on, the translator's own thoughts in the LRB, and what a big, ambitious film can mean in a market oversaturated with movies about superheroes and nostalgia for old titles

Not true. In their list of grievances, the Founding Fathers complained that King George III was blocking colonial laws that would promote immigration and make it easier for foreign settlers to become citizens.

I had a go, but I do not care who wins out of Canada and South Africa. This is the downside of the expanded tournament. You should be able to dislike one side in the knockouts.

I really need people to understand that Palantir is not an engineering marvel; it is a multi-billion-dollar contractual containment layer wrapped around the world's ugliest legacy open source frankenstack. It's a shitty Snowflake for companies that don't know how to do data engineering.
