Hi everybody - so excited to be here! Guys, if you get followed by an account following *thousands*... yet it only started posting ten days before or so (w/ few replies), it's a fake account! Check before following back! Let's keep this place clean! Yay!

🤬 Kherson. A Russian drone operator hunts down a civilian fruit seller and attacks him. The Russian with the remote control knows and sees what he is doing. They write that he survived.

If you want members of this regime to be held legally accountable, you have to add four seats to the Supreme Court in 2029. Otherwise, they'll protect their fellow oligarchs like they did in 2023. 1. Win the senate 2. Block nominees 3. Elect a dem POTUS 4. Congress adds 4 seats 5. Have nice things

ICE is still refusing to follow through on its pledge to equip its officers with body cameras. Their goal is without body camera footage, accountability becomes much harder. If you witness an interaction, remember to keep your camera rolling and document what you can safely.

Six congressmen bought between $83,000 to $245,000 in SpaceX stock just before its IPO: -Jared Moskowitz -Gil Cisneros -Dan Meuser -John McGuire -William Timmons -John James Five serve on committees whose work impacts SpaceX's business. We must ban members of Congress from trading stock.

PURE EVIL Stephen Miller’s worldview in one video clip. "I think the ideal solution would be to cut off their fingers. I don't think it's necessary to kill them entirely. We're not a barbaric people. We respect life. Therefore, torture is the way to go. Because tortured people can live.”

Tripling union membership would… -Raise the median worker’s wages by $7k+ annually -Reverse 1/3 of the increase in inequality since 1979 -Increase the number of people with health insurance And more. Unions are the key to taking on runaway corporate power. Every worker deserves one.

🌟 NEW 🌟 First-of-its-kind analysis from @cmcnich.bsky.social, @jensherer.bsky.social, and @benzipperer.org measures how expanding union membership would boost wages, lower inequality, and benefit communities and democracy. A teaser of what that would mean for workers 🧵 1/

OSSOFF: I expect tonight's speech to be equal parts pathetic and dangerous. I think we will hear from the world's most famous sore loser, a prime time presidential sour grapes address reheating, debunked conspiracy theories about an election in which he was soundly defeated.

in a lot of ways the current republican government is just the worst, extractive red state governance taken national. total hostility to public goods, total indifference to long-term investment, and a monomaniacal interest in using the state to enrich private benefactors

the food safety stuff is another reminder that a large, huge, gigantic part of being a republican is going “lmao why are we spending money to prevent horrifying disasters from happening if they never happen 🤪”

Some Democrats think the party has gone too far left and needs to readjust towards the “center.” Rubbish. Where’s the center between democracy and oligarchy, and why would Democrats want to be there?

Can ICE hold people indefinitely? *** How is this even a question? *** SCOTUS just agreed to decide whether ICE can jail people INDEFINITELY with no bond hearing. That goes against due process. It’s straight up authoritarianism.

The ‘butterfly effect’ here is that they are one of the main pollinators and losing them means massive distress to our ecosystems. All EU countries must implement the Nature Restoration Regulation and reverse this trend by 2030. We must save our ecosystems. We must save the planet.

Can you find the butterfly?

Photo of nature with a butterfly that is hidden in the landscapeInfographic by the European Greens showing a long-term decline in butterfly populations in Europe. The headline reads: "It's getting harder to see any of them as their population is declining." A line graph tracks butterfly populations from 1991 to 2023, using 1991 as the baseline (100). Individual butterfly icons represent yearly observations, while a white trend line slopes steadily downward from around 100 in 1991 to below 50 by 2023. A shaded green confidence interval surrounds the trend. An annotation explains that butterfly populations fluctuate from year to year depending on weather, but another highlights a clear long-term decline linked to the climate crisis. The source is the European Environment Agency (2023). The European Greens logo appears in the bottom right corner.

The richest man owns X. The second and third richest men control Google. The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post. The seventh richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros. See the problem here?

Good news! A federal judge has found Trump’s cancellation of $82.1 billion in grants for clean energy projects in 16 states — funded by the Biden Dept of Energy — to be unlawful. Those projects are ordered to be funded ✊🌎

Trump is removing devices that track climate change in our oceans. Because they don't work? No, because they work too well and provide inconvenient data! Apparently, climate change is like COVID, if you don't track it, it doesn't exist. Truly, we are living in the most destructive, stupid times.

"The Trump Administration will begin sending ships to begin pulling up the instruments later this month... The ocean observation system was designed to operate for at least 25 years, meaning the decision would result in the loss of more than a decade of data..." www.nytimes.com/2026/06/02/c...

Coal is currently the most environmentally destructive energy source. Coal combustion produces more CO₂ than any other fossil fuel. ~60% more than natural gas & ~30% more than oil. There's no serious environmental case for coal. The remaining arguments are economic & political, not scientific.
