I wish labor day was a real holiday where we actually gave working class people the day off. It's mostly a white collar holiday in spite of being fought for by blue collar workers. The modern American working class is a massive service industry that is expected to never have time off.
I dont like labor day. It's this holiday where on paper it's celebrating the American worker and labor movement and everything we've achieved and in practice everybody who works in food, retail, logistics, and more clocks in to work to serve the small portion who get the day off
