Ernst & Young fined £1,800,000 for dud audits of Made.com Did not establish that the business was a going concern, accepted management's assertions. No big accounting firm delivers good audits, act was poodles not watchdogs, fines passed to other clients. Audit itself is a fraud.

This is on the BBC Scotland channel and iPlayer tonight from 9pm, a trip back to the 80s and 90s in the company of cast, crew and creator of City Lights. A few rarely seen bits of archive, including clips from the pilot with Billy Greenlees as Chancer and no studio audience.

40 years ago today it was all change on BBC1. Electronic weather maps debuted along with a new weeknight schedule and a new look globe. The COW (Computer Originated World) Globe debuted at 7pm to introduce the 1st thrice weekly Wogan. More on the new globe in my quote tweet.

Christmas week ratings. Wallace & Gromit ended up just ahead of its last outing, from a much lower base! In 2008 it went from 14.30m to 16.15, 2024 went from 9.3m to 16.29m!🤯 Gavin & Stacey on 19.11m and DOESN'T beat 2003's Corrie as highest rated scripted programme since 2002.
